Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the nephew to former United States President John F. Kennedy, recently revealed he is launching a campaign for the presidency. The aspiring politician is widely known for his family ties and for his anti-vaccination stance. As the chairman of Children’s Health Defense, he alleges that American children are more susceptible to conditions such as autism because of exposure to chemicals in vaccines.

Many members of the Kennedy family openly oppose RFK’s presidential campaign, including his younger sister, Kerry Kennedy. She said, “I love my brother Bobby, but I do not share or endorse his opinions on many issues, including the COVID pandemic, vaccinations, and the role of social media platforms in policing false information.”

When Kennedy appeared on the Aubrey Marcus Podcast, he disclosed his plan to run as a Democratic presidential nominee. Marcus, who is friends with Rodgers, proceeded to share the sentiments, “I believe he’s going to win. … I believe he’s going to continue the legacy of his uncle, John F. Kennedy, and his father Robert Kennedy, and we talk about that a bit on this podcast.”

Reflecting on Aaron Rodgers’ 2021 COVID-19 scandal.

This is not the first time Rodgers has been openly criticized for his stances on vaccination. In 2021, the 39-year-old California native was in hot water after he was caught lying about his COVID-19 vaccination status.

After he tested positive for COVID-19 despite previously stating that he had been “immunized” ahead of the football season that year, he explained that he never received a Pfizer or Moderna vaccination and instead followed his own personal path to “immunization.”

“I’d been ready the entire time for this question and had thought about how I wanted to answer it. And I had come to the conclusion I’m going to say, ‘I’ve been immunized.’ And if there’s a follow-up, then talk about my process,” Rodgers said during the Joe Rogan Podcast, explaining his reason for the word choice ‘immunized.’

“But, [I] thought there’s a possibility that I say ‘I’m immunized,’ maybe they understand what that means, maybe they don’t. Maybe they follow up. They didn’t follow up,” he continued. “So then I go the season [with] them thinking, some of them, that I was vaccinated.”
