The engaged duo, Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez, had some sad news to share with everyone about their relationship.
In a Today exclusive joint statement, Rodriguez and Lopez announced this:
We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so. We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another’s children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support.

According to Today’s Erin Clements: “Lopez and Rodriguez announced their engagement in March 2019 after two years of dating. Rodriguez proposed in the Bahamas.”
Per Today: “Last year, Lopez visited TODAY and told Hoda Kotb that their wedding plans were on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“I’m a little heartbroken because we did have some great plans,” Lopez said via Today. “I’m also like, ‘You know what? God has a bigger plan.’”
There are fans who were happy to still see the duo together as of two weeks ago in an Instagram post from Rodriguez:
“Please keep the love ❤️ strong,” @ericalee767 commented on the post. “Don’t let others influence what shouldn’t be torn apart ♥️”.
“I am just happy to see that y’all are making it work!” @chi_lsk_zed commented. “I LOVE you two together!!!😍😍”.
Apparently, Rodriguez posted this video with a Coldplay song on in the background:
