Brittany Mahomes, the wife to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, recently revealed that their second child wasn’t conceived on purpose.
Right before the Kansas City Chiefs took home the Super Bowl win, the Mahomes family experienced perhaps the biggest win of all. A mere weeks before earning the championship title, Baby Bronze was welcomed into the world. Since his birth, the newborn’s parents have been outspoken about their excitement over their growing family. However, when specific details about his conception on Instagram, Brittany was very candid with her audience…
“Was Bronze planned?” one Instagram user asked. Replying, the mother of two admitted he was not planned and even discussed the occasion on which her son was conceived. She wrote, “No lol. Happened on our wedding night.”
Following up, another individual questioned how the Mahomes reacted to the sudden pregnancy. Brittany then informed her fans that it wasn’t a particularly cute story and that she and her husband both had ” ‘oh s–t’ moments’ “.
In a different post, the mother also revealed the birth complications that occurred during Broze’s delivery. Although she only pushed for seven minutes, his “cord was wrapped around his neck two times.” But, she was pleased to share that it “thankfully didn’t affect anything. He was fine.”
Brittany Mahomes on 2-year-old daughter Sterling becoming a big sister
Ever since giving birth to her first son, the certified personal trainer does not hesitate to discuss the ways in which her life has changed. Since her secondborn’s birth, she has even paid tribute to her 2-year-old daughter Sterling on Instagram, who became a big sister.
“Just a little emotional today thinking about how blessed I am and how proud of this little angel I am. She has been doing so good as a big sister,” she said of her daughter during Sterling’s first few days of sisterhood. “She loves her brother so much & has been just the best little helper!”
“I felt like so many people were trying to put this negative idea of how much she was gonna hate not being the only child into my head & it was kind of starting to upset me,” Mahomes continued. “If you are a new mom, or about to become a mama of multiple kiddos, just know everyone’s story is different & don’t let other people’s ideas get to you.”
She concluded her Instagram caption with the sentiments, “It’s your family & your own journey. It will all work out, stay positive and enjoy every second of it.”
