Phillies’ Outfielder Bryce Harper Reveals He and His Wife Are Expecting Baby Number 2
Phillies’ right fielder Bryce Harper and his wife, Kayla Harper, became parents for the first time on August 22, 2019. The couple welcomed a baby boy into their lives and named him Krew Aron Harper.
And the father has absolutely adored having a little boy to watch him take the field.
“Yea I guess you could say he makes me unbelievably happy!”
In fact, both Bryce and Kayla have loved being parents so much that on the day Krew turned 10 months old, they announced that they are expecting baby number 2.
Not only did they announce that Kayla is pregnant again, but they also revealed that Krew is going to be a big brother to a little sister. Bryce shared the news on Instagram with a picture of him and Kayla surrounded by pink heart balloons as they held out a picture of the latest sonogram.
The soon-to-be dad of two captioned the heartwarming photo with the hashtag, “Girl Dad.” Kayla also shared the same picture to her account as well.
The mom also revealed that she’s almost four months pregnant and that they expect to meet their daughter in December. “Evening things out this year with Baby Girl Harper,” Kayla wrote. “Coming early December 2020.”
The news of their second child comes off the heels of the MLB agreeing on a 60-game season which is expected to start in July. According to ESPN, experts Bradford Doolittle, David Schoenfield, and Sam Miller said they’d “be surprised if we don’t have three or four teams that make the postseason with a record within five games over .500.”
Meaning a 33-win team could make it into the playoffs based on what happened in seasons past, Schoenfield explained. And while the season might be shortened, and records may go unbroken, whoever wins the World Series this year should be as happy as if they won it during a 162-game season, the experts said.
