After only two months of quiet and quaint retirement, NFL champion Tom Brady announced that he will be returning to the field for the upcoming season.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback initially announced when the 2021-2022 season came to close that he would be stepping back from his position as a professional football player to spend time with family. However, the 44-year-old took to Instagram to announce that this proclamation didn’t seem to coincide with what he truly wanted at this point in life.
“These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands,” Brady wrote in the caption of his post. “That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible.”
Brady then explained, “I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. We have unfinished business.”
And of course, the athlete’s supermodel wife Gisele Bündchen expressed nothing but love and support for her husband’s decision to continue his career with the NFL. “Here we go again! Let’s go lovvvey! Let’s go Bucs!” she commented in response to Brady’s special announcement.

Considering Bündchen and Brady are often considered a power couple, it is unsurprising that she is expressing this level of support for her man. It seems that no matter what he does, she will always be dedicated to supporting him and ensuring he makes the right decision for himself. Even when she was under the impression that Brady would be hanging up the jersey, she showed nothing but love for his decision.
At the time of his retirement announcement, Bündchen wrote that Brady is, “the most dedicated, focused and mentally tough person I have ever met,” and that no matter what, she will always be sticking by his side.
“There is nothing you can’t achieve. I have always been here for you, you know that and I’m as excited as you are for what the future holds,” she added. “Words can’t really express how grateful I am to everyone who has been so supportive of my husband and our family for so many years.”
Although retirement is now being put on the backburner, it is still very evident that Bündchen’s love for her husband shows no bounds.
