Gisele Bündchen, 42, Admits She Watched Tom Brady’s Final NFL Season

Gisele Bündchen, the ex-wife of Tom Brady, admitted she watched the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback’s last season in the NFL.

Following the end of the 2023 football season, the veteran quarterback announced he would be concluding his career in the league. “I’m retiring for good. I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first,” he said on Instagram at the time. “So I won’t be long-winded. I think you only get one super-emotional retirement essay, and I used mine up last year.”

Prior to this announcement, Brady publicly went through a divorce from his wife, famous supermodel Gisele Bündchen. While some assumed bad blood was present between the two, the model went on to tell Vanity Fair that she watched her ex-husband complete his final season and even supported him through the process.

“It was tough, but you know what? Let’s just be honest. It’s a team sport, and you can’t play alone,” Bündchen said of Brady’s 23rd season. “I think he did great under the circumstances that he had. I mean, he had no offensive line.”

In fact, the 42-year-old mother outwardly refused to say anything bad about the father of her children. In her interview, she explained co-parenting is a two-way street, and that operating as a team is still necessary for their kids. She even expressed gratitude over her entire 13-year marriage with Brady.

“We’re not playing against each other,” said Bündchen. “We are a team, and that’s beautiful. I look back, and I have no regrets. I loved every bit of it.” 

Continuing, the model made sure to express her love for Brady. Regardless of if their romantic relationship is over, she will continue supporting him through whatever future decisions he makes. “If there’s one person I want to be the happiest in the world, it’s him, believe me,” Bündchen explained. “I want him to achieve and to conquer. I want all his dreams to come true. That’s what I want, really, from the bottom of my heart.”

Additionally, Brady’s former wife denied any allegations of their marriage ending as the result of the quarterback continuing to play in the NFL. Rather, they simply wanted different things in life. She shared, “When I was 26 years old, and he was 29 years old, we met, we wanted a family, we wanted things together…As time goes by, we realize that we just wanted different things, and now we have a choice to make.”
