A Look Inside the Unique Relationship of Aaron Rodgers and Shailene Woodley

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been with his actress fiancee Shailene Woodley since the beginning of quarantine. For the first time since getting together, an insider has come forward and described what the nature of their relationship looks like.

“They have a different, non-traditional relationship,” an anonymous source close to the 30-year-old actress reported to PEOPLE. This proclamation was prompted due to the recent birthday of Rodgers; after he turned 38 on December 2nd, many questioned why Woodley didn’t acknowledge the momentous day.

After arguments about whether or not the couple had split up and neither one of them would confirm or deny the accusation, an anonymous insider dropped some insight into their relationship.

The source explained, “Shailene and Aaron are still together. It’s not odd they don’t post about each other on their birthdays in that sense, and are very private about things.”

Their relationship has been relatively private since it initially went public in 2020. Although fans were speculating that the two were an item during the early stages of quarantine, it wasn’t officially confirmed by either party until Rodgers gave a speech during the NFL Honors award night in February.

“2020 was definitely a crazy year filled with lots of change, growth, some amazing, memorable moments,” he said at the time. He went on to explain, “180 straight days of having my nose hair scraped, playing for very little fans or no stands the entire season. I got engaged and I played some of the best football in my career.”

The engagement was also confirmed by Woodley when she made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She happily showed off her engagement ring to the talk show host and many fans were in awe at its size.

In addition, Woodley has gladly defended Rodgers throughout their relationship. A few months back, when the football star contracted the COVID-19 virus, it was revealed that he had not been vaccinated. Despite claiming immunization, it appeared that Rodgers lied about his vaccination status. While this caused some controversy, photos of men who looked to be the Green Bay quarterback, which made it look like he had been breaking quarantine rules.

However, his fiancee was quick to defend him. “Literally, y’all need to calm the f—k down,” the actress wrote on her Instagram story alongside a photograph of a man alleged to be Rodgers. She added, “I know Aaron’s body very well. First off, his feet, ahem and no offense to this rando dude, are a LOT bigger.”
