JJ, TJ, and Derek Watt Take Photo Prior to Steelers-Texans Game, And Wow Their Parents Must Be Proud

Three children, three NFL contracts, two teams, and two parents who must be very proud. However, we have to admit, watching two of your sons go up against the third has to be fairly nerve-racking and who do you root for?

Well if one picture snapped before the Steelers-Texans game tells any type of story, it’s that regardless of them being opponents on the field, they are and will always be brothers first.

Prior to the start of the match-up, the Watt brothers, which is comprised of JJ, TJ, and Derek, got together for a quick picture during their on-field warmups. Both TJ and Derek play for the Pittsburgh Steelers, while JJ plays for the Houston Texans.

JJ shared the photo on Instagram with the caption, “Started in the backyard…”

And while JJ may be the odd man out in this scenario, when Derek signed with the Steelers in March of this year, JJ couldn’t have been happier to see his two younger brothers becoming teammates.

Derek also shared a photo of him and his brothers following the Steelers win against the Texans on Instagram. “Dream come true,” the fullback said of that particular Sunday afternoon.

As did TJ, who said Sunday’s game “was one for the books.”

According to Yahoo Sports, the match-up between the Steelers and the Texans was only the second time since 1927 that three brothers played in the same NFL game. The first time three brothers played against each other was just last year when Terrell, Trey, and Tremaine Edmunds took to the field.

Now, how cool would it be if we got to see either the Watt brothers or the Edmonds brothers all play for the same team? Hey, NFL, let’s make that happen!
