The Race To Get JJ Watt: Which NFL Team Will Watt Be On Next? Watt Opens Up About Decision-Making Process And Why It Relates To Door Dash

If you haven’t heard by now, JJ Watt is moving on from the team he’s played his whole career with, the Texans. For a decade, the five-time Pro Bowler and 2017 Walter Payton Man of the Year has been a staple of the Texans’ franchise.

In a heartfelt message to the fans, he shared why they’re mutually parting ways (on February 12):

“I have sat down with the McNair family and I have asked them for my release and we have mutually agreed to part ways at this time,” Watt said in a Tweet. “I came here ten years ago as a kid from Wisconsin who’d never really been to Texas before and now I can’t imagine my life without Texas in it. The way you guys have treated me…you treated me like family and I truly feel like you’re my family. Since that day (when Watt was drafted) I have tried to do everything in my power to work and earn your respect and try and make you proud on and off the field.”

Fast forward to February 21 and he said this:

“I scroll through door dash for like an hour before I pick a restaurant man…You’re gonna have to give me a second to choose a new team and city,” Watt said in reply to a Tweet (via retweeting).

First of all, who else is with Watt when ice comes to taking a while to decide on which place to order from on Door Dash, GrubHub, Postmates, Uber Eats, etc.? I know for my wife and I, this applies to watching a show. It takes more time for us trying to find a decent show to watch (because there’s a lot of garbage out there) than it does actually watching the show itself.

So, if the dude takes his time finding that perfect meal for what he’s craving in that moment, give Watt some time to find out where he wants his next professional career to be in.

I mean, it’s not like this is a order-from-the-app situation whether you’re feeling pizza, tacos, salads, smoothies, Filipino food, Italian food, sandwiches, etc. This is more of where do you want to see yourself and your family take residence in (along with if he’s trying to join a Super Bowl contender). Many factors play into this decision.

And now we know, Door Dash, is one of them.

If this Tweet is any indication, let’s just say Watt will be ready to suit up and go with whichever team he signs with.
