Last Saturday, Khloé Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, and Kris Jenner attended the funeral of Andrea Thompson, the mother of professional basketball player Tristan Thompson, Khloe’s ex and the father of her two children.
According to an anonymous source, the sister and mother were there to support Tristan through this difficult time, as his mother died of a heart attack last Tuesday. “They all want to be there for Tristan,” the insider shared. “He will always be family. It’s a devastating situation for him. They want to do everything they can to support him.”
Given Khloé’s support of her former romantic partner, many are questioning if this means the two will reconcile and get back together. However, sources are saying this is unlikely. One source stated to Hollywood Life, “her family came along because they wanted to. It is that simple and Tristan would do the same for her.”
Tristan started dating Khloé in 2016 and they welcomed their daughter True in 2018. The pair split in June of 2021 before reuniting. However, Khloé publicly ended her relationship with the NBA player in January 2022 after he was caught cheating again. He is also dad to 12-month-old son Theo who he had with the woman he cheated with, Maralee Nichols.
Despite speculation that the two will get back together again after the funeral, the source feels it is a strongly unlikely scenario. In fact, the insider made sure to rule out any possibility of the Kardashian and Thompson getting together in the future.

“Khloe thinks that the way things are now between the two of them is perfect. He respects her and he is a great father to their kids,” they said. “They both know that she is not going to give their romance another chance. She can’t and he understands this.”

Continuing, the source explained that Andrea Thompson played an important role in Khloé and Tristan’s life. “Tristan’s late mother Andrea was her kids’ grandmother,” the source pointed out.
The source added that their most recent son is a baby and only met his grandmother a handful of times. “Andrea was also present in their son’s life, but he is too young to know this,” the insider added. “It is a shame that he will never get a chance to know his grandmother because she is an amazing woman.”
