Kristen Cavallari Spent ‘Beautiful’ Father’s Day with Jay Cutler and Their Children
Kristen Cavallari spent Father’s Day this year with her soon-to-be-ex, Jay Cutler and their three children Camden, Jaxon, and Saylor. Although the couple is estranged, they managed to come together to celebrate the holiday.
Cutler and Cavallari announced their divorce in April with joint statements on Instagram that said it was just a case of “of two people growing apart” and that they had “nothing but love and respect for one another.”
“We had a beautiful day together yesterday at my new house,” Cavallari shared.
“Saved the best for last… happy (late) Father’s Day to Jay,” the Very Cavallari star wrote on Instagram in a sweet throwback post.
“Modern family? Co-parenting? Whatever you want to call it, we are navigating it the best way we know how. And what I do know is, our 3 kids are lucky to have him as their daddy. Hopefully they all 3 get a smidge of that heart of gold,” Cavallari added.
People reported that Cavallari moved into her new $5 million Nashville estate earlier this month.
Cavallari’s sweet post comes weeks after Cutler shared an image on Mother’s Day.
“Happy Mother’s day to all the moms,” the former quarterback wrote. “These 3 little ones picked a good one.”
The posts from each indicate that the estranged couple is indeed doing their best at co-parenting and remaining positive and supportive. After the tension that followed the divorce announcement, a source tells People that things are “calm between Kristin and Jay at the moment.”
“Right now, Kristin and Jay are ‘bird-nesting’ in terms of custody, where the kids stay put in one home and the parents rotate in and out,” the source explained. “This new main property would be perfect as a ‘nest’ for the kids and when it’s Jay’s turn to be with [them] in the main house, Kristin would happily be able to stay in the second house, which has plenty of privacy from the main house.”

“She’d love it if it could work out that way, though it remains to be seen if Jay will agree to that,” the source added.
According to Cavallari’s divorce filing, the couple had been experiencing difficulties for the “last several years.” Which prompted the reality star to begin house hunting in November 2019.
In the filing, Cavallari said she told Cutler she had found a new house for herself and their kids, but claimed Cutler refused to release the money from their joint account, even though Cutler was aware of her plans. Eventually, funds were released and Cavallari proceeded with the purchase.
We’re happy these parents are learning to co-parent and move forward. Cavallari’s post on Father’s Day was a nice touch. Meanwhile, Cutler has been investigating a series of chicken murders at his own home and documenting his findings on Instagram. Gripping stuff.
