In what’s been a trying and painful time for the Bryant family, they’ve received an outpouring of support from so many. The Lakers eventually won a championship for Kobe, Gigi, and the City of Los Angeles on the court.

And off the court people around the world are remembering and honoring Kobe and Gigi Bryant’s legacies. The NBA community has also rallied behind Vanessa Bryant and her children.
One of those basketball community members who’s shown support is Carmelo Anthony’s wife, La La Anthony. Recently, Anthony spoke with Entertainment Tonight in their exclusive.
“I’ve been a part of their lives from before they were even thought of so just to continue to be a part of their journey is amazing, and to be ‘Auntie La La,’ and to always be there for them no matter what is an amazing thing and responsibility that I don’t take lightly,” La La said about Vanessa and Kobe’s girls.
“That’s my family and that’s what it’s always gonna be,” she continued. “I’m always [going to have] their best interests at heart no matter what.” Entertainment Tonight reported on how “the duo started out as NBA wives supporting their husbands, Kobe Bryant and Carmelo Anthony,” but now their longtime friendship goes far beyond the world of basketball.
And La La’s love for the Bryant family particularly shined through following the tragic deaths of Kobe and 13-year-old daughter, Gianna. Anthony has continued to be a support system for Bryant and her three surviving daughters during this extremely difficult time.
