LeBron And Bronny, Father And Son: Future NBA Teammates?

As you may have heard by now, one of the biggest NBA news stories since the bubble was LeBron James signing a two-year extension with the Lakers. Coming off a Finals win, this secures James to be with the team up until someone (insert Bronny James, LeBron’s son) could potentially enter the NBA draft.

Then, if that were to happen, would be an even bigger story! A father-son duo, little Bronny growing up watching his pops play, then throwing on an NBA jersey playing alongside his dad? This would make history.

“LeBron would be the first dad in NBA history to play at the same time as his son” according to Fatherly.

“I don’t know how long I’m (going to) stick around this game. I never take for granted every time I get an opportunity to play another season. I try to prepare my mind, my body, and my spirit for a season and see where it takes me. At the end of this contract, I will be in year 20. The best thing about it is that the year I will be a free agent will be the same year my oldest son graduates high school. So I’ll have some options to see, for me, personally, what I want to do forward, being around my family, being around my son more, or continue to play this game that I love with great health and just great spirits. So, we’ll see.”

James said he doesn’t look to far in the future but tries to give the game as much as he has in the time being.

“I’ve been blessed to be a part of 18 straight training camps and I’ll never take that for granted,” James said.

According to ESPN, “Bronny…is a sophomore at Sierra Canyon High School in Chatsworth, California. A 6-foot-2 guard, he came off the bench last season (as a freshman) for the nationally ranked program.”

As At The Buzzer brought up in a previous story: multiple reports are saying that Bronny could enter the NBA Draft in 2023 if the league goes back to allowing players to enter the draft out of high school per The New York Post.

Just imagine, LeBron and Bronny. On the same team.

Well, you don’t have to imagine the next few minutes at least as we share with you some highlights of both and you can picture them playing as teammates.

First up, one of the greatest basketball players of all time:

LeBron James, Bronny’s dad:

Bronny James, LeBron’s son:

There’s been father’s and son’s who’ve both played in the NBA but reportedly, as mentioned previously, never at the same time. You’ve got Steph and Dell Curry, Jimmy Walker and Jalen Rose, Joe “Jelly Bean” and Kobe Bryant, Rick and Jon Barry, and Brent and Drew Barry per Bleacher Report.

If their NBA team will be anything like this, a supportive dad cheering on his son first row, the league better take notice with the amount of support their season will have suiting up together:
