Those Lakers are back in business, among the other NBA teams, reporting to training camp.

LeBron James, at the Lakers training camp, wore a special tribute shirt that features Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna Bryant, on the T-shirt.

According to People, “the shirt was passed out to visitors who attended a memorial service for the two held at Staples Center in February, nearly a month after they died in a helicopter crash”.

“Family is forever,” the Lakers said in an Instagram post of James rocking the shirt honoring Kobe and Gigi.

LeBron understands the Lakers legacy, the Lakers family, and the Lakers nation, where it’s bigger than basketball.

“Hope (I) made you proud my brother!!” James said in an Instagram post seven weeks ago (some time after the Lakers won the Finals). “Love and miss you (champ)!!  #BlackMamba24•8•2

Another tribute to Bryant was posted on Tuesday. According to ESPN, seven years ago to this day (Tuesday, December 8, 2020) Kobe played his first game back after recovering from that Achilles injury:

And Lakers Nation saw a truck painted with the phrase: “Live like like there’s no tomorrow” painted on it, along with a mural showing Kobe and Gig’s basketball numbers in honor of them:

As you may have already seen, here’s how a famous basketball court in the Philippines was painted earlier this year in honor of Kobe and Gigi:

And just so you can reminisce watching Kobe play as the NBA season approaches, here’s some of his best plays against every team per the NBA:
