Beach volleyball player Morgan Miller announced the birth of her 8th child 10 weeks ago alongside her alpine ski racer husband Bode Miller. The kicker? They still haven’t decided on a name for their baby girl…
When the 34-year-old took to social media and conducted a question and answer segment on Instagram, she announced to her audience that the child had not yet been named. In fact, she relayed she and her husband have different ideas on what their daughter should be named.
A fan questioned whether or not she and Bode decided on a name, which prompted Miller to pan the camera towards her husband and pose, “Have we named the baby?”
“Yes,” the retired Olympic gold medalist responded. Despite his confidence, his wife seemed surprised. In response, Miller asked, “We have? What’s her name?”
“Olivia,” Bode replied. However, he was quickly cut off by his wife who explained that the name ‘Olivia’ is not a mutual agreement. She stated, “No, I’m not letting you say that because we don’t know that.”

The child was born approximately ten weeks ago and since her grand entrance, the family seems to have gone through multiple names. Earlier this month, the mother shared that they have been calling her ‘Nona’ in reference to her lack of a name. Last month, Morgan referenced her daughter as ‘Ocho’, the Spanish word for eight, which represents her eighth child.

The couple parent eight children together, two of which come from a previous marriage. Morgan and Bode share twin boys Asher and Aksel, 2, sons Easton, 3, and Nash, 6, as well as their daughter Emeline who passed away tragically in 2018. In addition, Bode has two children from his last union: son Nate, 8, and daughter Dace, who is 13-years-old.
The couple’s unnamed daughter was welcomed into the world on Friday, Nov. 26 in their Orange County, California home. With the help of their midwife Lindsey Meehleis, the delivery process was a breeze. The Millers’ little girl weighed in at 8 lbs., 5 oz., and measured 22.25 inches long at birth. Unsurprisingly, the couple couldn’t be happier to watch their daughter grow up.
“She’s perfect and bringing her into this world was a perfect way to close this chapter of growing our family,” Morgan Miller told PEOPLE at the time of her daughter’s birth. She included the sentiments, “Our hearts are so full.”
