In an NBA offseason that saw major moves, signings, and draft picks, there were also some important trades teams had. Yet the trade it seemed like fans were waiting on was if Russell Westbrook would be traded out of Houston.

Now we know. Russell, welcome to your new team in DC with the Washington Wizards as ESPN reports the Rockets traded Westbrook for John Wall and a lottery-protected 2023 first round pick. And John, welcome to your new team in H-Town.

According to NBA on ESPN, Westbrook is the first NBA MVP to be traded in consecutive seasons.

John Wall, now a Houston Rockets point guard. Russell Westbrook, now a Washington Wizards point guard.
