Simone Biles New Facebook Show Shows How Hardwork, Determination Played a Role in Her Historic Career

If you’re anything like me, you’re extremely excited about the Tokyo Olympics.  And one of the must-watch athletes of the upcoming Olympics is gold medalist Simone Biles.

The world is expecting a lot from the 24-year-old and if her career is any indication, she will deliver! In fact, as Biles said in the teaser for her new Facebook Watch show, Simone Vs Herself, she “didn’t come this far to only come this far.”

In the lead up to the Games, Simone has already been the talk of the mat, beam, bars, and vault. As At the Buzzer reported, just a few week before winning her historic 7th U.S. Gymnastic title, she was the first woman gymnast to ever throw a Yurchenko double pike vault and land it in a competition.

Now, the world gets an in-depth look at what goes on behind the scenes that made Simone Biles, Simone Biles. From her first gymnastics class at 6 years old to her first gold medal and everything in between, we get to see firsthand her attempt at a comeback.

“At six years old, I didn’t know what they saw in me. I just felt like a normal kid.” But as we all know, Simone is far from normal, she is now America’s most decorated gymnast.

It is likely that she will become the most decorated gymnast in the world after competing in Tokyo 2021. Currently, Belarus’ Vitaly Scherbo has 33 Olympic and World Championship medals, Russia’s Larisa Latynina has 32, and Biles currently has 30.

Of those 30, 5 are Olympic medals, and 25 are World medals.

And while the world expects great things, Simone shows how some of the doubt tried to creep in. “Having to come back am I going to be just as good? Can I do it again,” she’s heard saying in the teaser for her new show.

“I feel like gymnastics to this day has shaped me to be the person that I am,” Biles said. “And it’s why I’m so stubborn, it’s why I’m so stubborn.”

Simone Biles Vs Herself premieres on Facebook on June 15! It will be well worth the watch!
