‘Teammate Of The Year!’: High School Junior Football Player Selflessly Hands Football Off To Senior Teammate For Touchdown At Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium

We’ll take you to AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. Not for a Cowboys game but a high school football game, where one teammate showed a selfless act on the field.

In a video posted by ESPN’s Sportcenter via @tannerriley21_, it shows a replay of a “junior hand(ing) (the) ball off to a senior in the state game so he can score”.

You can see ‘#1’ on defense stripping the football from the quarterback’s hands, the ball goes into the air, ‘#1’ immediately grabs it and runs for the end zone. But, just before he crosses the goal line, check this out.

The defender hands the ball off to his reported senior teammate. In what could’ve been his last football game in high school, what an act of selflessness and character.

As SportsCenter commented: “That’s a real teammate”.

And it goes the same for the ‘senior’ who scored the touchdown because he was excitedly waving his teammate to go score. Instead, the ‘senior’ was given the ball so he could get a touchdown himself.

This inspired a lot of people, so we’ll take you to the comment section:

“To actually give up a touchdown in a game especially when (you’re) on the defense is true love,” somebody commented.

“Teammate of the Year!!! 🏈 🏆” someone else said.

“He’ll remember that moment for the rest of his life,” another commenter said.
