The Manning Brothers recently started fighting over who their mother loves most. According to Peyton, it is certainly not Eli.
Everyone knows that these two talented brothers love sibling rivalry. Even well into their 40s, the competition has never died down. Most recently, the two former NFL champions the 2023 Pro Bowl Games. Prior to Super Bowl LVIIÂ on Feb. 12, Peyton will be coaching the AFC team, while his younger brother will serve as the head coach for the NFC.
In the promotional video released by the NFL, the Manning brothers were quick to depict their sibling rivalry. “Alright, bro, Pro Bowl Games, winning coach gets brother bragging rights for a year,” Peyton suggested at the beginning of the video, to which his brother quickly agreed.
“I like it because the big game this year is flag football, and the NFC is definitely better,” Eli proceeded to add. However, Peyton was quick to shut down this opinion. The retired Denver Broncos quarterback expressed the sentiments, “The AFC is better in dodgeball.”
The Manning brothers continued to banter back and forth for quite some time before Peyton crossed a line that few are brave enough to cross. Proudly, the 46-year-old claimed to his younger brother, “Mom loves AFC more.”

As if to prove that he is the family favorite, the eldest brother then received a call from their mother, Olivia. However, Eli was quick to point out that his brother is far from special. “She calls me every morning,” he told his brother.
Upon answering the phone, Eli was desperate to get a response from his brother while Peyton casually talked with her. Attempting to put him in his place, Peyton relayed to his brother, “She doesn’t want to talk to you,” and made fun of his fashion choices to their beloved mother. “He’s wearing these tight pants. It’s really weird,” he said.
Although they can fight over who their mother loves more, it is clear that Olivia Manning produced some of the greatest names in the history of football. Both brothers proudly ended their NFL careers with Super Bowl champions under their belt, and they continue to be reigning forces in the league, even after their retirement.
The 2023 Pro Bowl Games are set to begin live on Feb. 2 at 7:00 pm. EST on ESPN.
