The Bucs ended up beating the Saints to advance to the NFC Championship but a big storyline coming out of this game was the question of would this be Brees’ last game in the NFL?

NFL on FOX’s Jay Glazer certainly thought so before the game.

Let’s hear from Brees himself and what he said, though. Here’s what Brees said after the game on if this was, in fact, his last NFL game:

“I’m going to give myself an opportunity to think about the season, think about a lot of things, just like I did last year, and make a decision,” Brees said during the postgame virtual press conference.

The ball’s in Brees’ court (or NFL field, in this case).

After the game, there was a touching moment between the two quarterbacks who, combined, share seven Super Bowl wins, 27 Pro Bowl appearances, and four All-Pro’s.

Just two G.O.A.T.’s after the game:

Tom Brady throws a pass to Brees’ son in the end zone, saying ‘…Could’ve used you tonight!’ (per a James Palmer tweet):

Brady ended up throwing for 199 yards and two touchdowns in the game and Brees threw for 134 yards and one touchdown.

Whether it was Brees last game in the NFL or not, it appeared Brady told Brees in that video, “It was another great season, nonetheless.”

Game recognizing game. Now, we’ll see if Brady can lead another team to the Super Bowl not named the Patriots.
