Following NFL legend Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen filing for divorce, sources say they will continue to live in nearby cities in order to successfully raise their children.
After 13 years of marriage, multiple media sources have confirmed that the couple will be separating. However, according to a source close to the couple, the parents will continue to both live in Florida.
While Brady will stay in Tampa for the majority of the year, Bünchen is establishing a residency in Miami. In addition, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback also has a property in Miami.
“The settlement is all worked out. They’ve been working on the terms this whole time,” a source close to the couple reported to PEOPLE Magazine. “They agreed to joint custody of the kids.”
The decision to divorce comes months after marriage trouble speculation. Ever since Brady made the decision to return to the field instead of retiring, Bündchen was disappointed to see him continue to play with the Buccaneers. According to sources, the supermodel believes he was not devoting enough time to his marriage.

“She gave him a lot of opportunities to fix things, and he didn’t,” a source close to the family said of Brady. The sources added that the football star “wasn’t as attentive as he should’ve been.”
“That’s what [Gisele] wanted: to be heard. And he wasn’t hearing her,” the anonymous source continued. “When he’s in the middle of a season, [Brady] does what most NFL players do: live, breathe, eat and sleep football…Tom is more like that than anyone.”
Sources share that Tom Brady is a dedicated father to his children
Despite these claims, another source close to the family insists that Brady is continuously dedicated to their family. Per the source, the quarterback receives extra time during the season to spend time with his children. “He was always there for her and the kids. Even during football,” the source stated.
“He’s an anomaly because he’s played for so long. Yes, he worked just like any parent worked, but he always spends a great deal of time with his family.”
The NFL legend shares Benjamin Rein, 12, and 9-year-old daughter Vivian Lake with Gisele Bündchen and was reportedly seen taking the children to a movie after his divorce was finalized. “He is a very involved dad. You can tell that he loves being a dad,” another inside source said of the father.
