It has only been weeks since NFL champion Tom Brady announced that he would be stepping away from his professional playing career. Yet, it seems like he’s already tackling a new project… as an actor!
The 44-year-old will be making a cameo as himself in the upcoming comedy film Brady, directed by Kyle Marvin. The story details four New England Patriots fans making the journey to the 2017 Super Bowl. With an amazing cast of Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno, and Sally Field, the movie already has fans on the edge of their seats.
According to THR, the film is the story of, “four best friends and New England Patriots fans who take a life-changing trip to the 2017 Super Bowl LI to see their quarterback hero, Tom Brady, play and the chaos that ensues as they navigate the wilds of the biggest sporting event in the country.”

Co-stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin have been open about their experience working on the movie and have nothing but good things to say about the former football player. In fact, Fonda revealed that the 44-year-old was kind enough to send her a floral arrangement when he found out she had her shoulder replaced.
“He sent me a humongous thing of orchids because I had my shoulder replaced. I think it’s going to last forever … the shoulder and the orchids,” she explained, according to PEOPLE.
Tomline went on to joke, “I’m gonna get my shoulder replaced so he’ll send me some.”

In addition to working on the project as an actor, Brady is also a co-producer. Using his production company 199 Productions, the 44-year-old is working with notable film producer Donna Gigliotti and Endeavor Content. Production for the film is expected to start in the Spring.
Lily Tomlin also acknowledged that the seven-time Super Bowl champion personally phoned her 9 to 5 co-star and requested her presence in the movie.
“Tom Brady phoned her to tell her he was trying to make a movie about them,” Tomlin said of Fonda. “And it’s just really delightful to see. It was wonderful. And so we look like your typical Tom Brady fan.”
After putting an end to his 22 season NFL career, this movie will certainly be the cherry on top of the legacy that is Tom Brady.
