Recently retired NFL superstar Tom Brady dedicated an adorable tribute to his wife Gisele Bündchen to celebrate their thirteen years of marriage.
“13 years ago, we both said ‘I do’ ….and you have been the best thing that ever happened to my life,” the ex-Tampa Bay Buccaneer quarterback wrote on his Instagram. “I love you more now than I ever could have imagined.”
“You are the best mother and wife and supporter in the world and I am blessed to call you my wife,” the athlete continued. In addition, he included the following phrase in Portuguese, Bündchen’s native language. “Te amo muito meu amor, happy anniversary @gisele.”
Similar in fashion, Gisele posted her own post dedicated to her husband. Sharing the same wedding day photo as Brady, the supermodel captioned the post, “Happy anniversary love of my life! Te amo!”
The couple tied the knot in 2009 and have been very open about celebrating each other in the public eye. This is by no means the first tribute Brady has written to his wife and most likely will not be the last.
The day that nearly everyone in the NFL has been nervously awaiting came in early February: Brady announced his retirement from the league after an astonishing 22 season run. Alongside his teammates, coaches, and mentors, he cited his wife as his biggest motivation to be among the best football players in history.
“To my wife, Gisele, and my children Jack, Benny, and Vivi. You are my inspiration,” he said during his retirement announcement. “Our family is my greatest achievement. I always came off the field and home to the most loving and supportive wife who has done EVERYTHING for our family to allow me to focus on my career.”
The couple share daughter Vivian Lake, 9, and their 12-year-old son Benjamin Rein. Moreover, Brady’s father’s John “Jack” Edward, 14, whom he had with his previous wife.

Brady went on to share that his wife is responsible for his ability to progress his career, as she dedicated countless hours to ensure their family was provided with the best quality of life. “Her selflessness allowed me to reach new heights professionally, and I am beyond words what you mean to me and our family,” he relayed.
When Gisele wrote her own tribute post following the football star’s retirement post, she made sure to emphasize how proud she is of him and his dedication to both family and football.
“I’m so proud of you, and of everything you have had to overcome physically and emotionally over the years,” she said. “I am in awe of your dedication, and of everything you have achieved. You love what you do, and you leave behind a legacy that is a beautiful example for future generations.”
In response, Brady commented, “You make every day of my life brighter and more fun and you challenge me to be my best in every aspect of my life. You are my biggest supporter and I love you more [than] anything in this world.”
Needless to say, this power couple has a lot to celebrate!
