Is Tom Brady Backing Out of His 10-Year Deal with Fox News? The Legendary QB Says No

Tom Brady, 45, Doesn’t Regret Returning to the NFL Despite His Recent Divorce

Although it seems Tom Brady’s return to the NFL was the reason for his divorce from supermodel Gisele Bündchen, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback has no regrets about playing another season.

At the beginning of this year, the NFL legend announced that his time as a professional player was coming to a close. “I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention,” Brady wrote in a statement, announcing his official retirement to the world.

However, after a shortly lived two months, the Tampa Bay quarterback reversed that statement and shared that he would be returning to the field for his astounding 23rd season. “I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now,” the 45-year-old stated on Twitter. “I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG.”

Yet, soon after announcing his plan to un-retire, rumors began spreading in regard to Brady’s marriage with Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen. After hoping her husband would retire, she was undoubtedly disappointed with his decision to return to the field. Despite promises that Brady was going to continue spending time with his family during the NFL season, the couple officially announced their divorce at the end of October.

“The good news is that it’s a very amicable situation,” the quarterback said, speaking of his divorce from Gisele. “I’m really focused on two things: taking care of my family and certainly my children, and secondly, doing the best job I can to win football games.”

Despite mental turmoil, family issues, and the divorce on top of everything, Brady is still committed to his decision to play football. In a recent press conference, the seven-time Super Bowl champion explained that he has no regrets about continuing his career.

“I returned because I felt like I wanted to compete, and I spoke to the team about it, and they were excited to have me back,” he told reporters. When asked specifically if he regrets making the return, Brady responded, “Zero, no. Definitely not.”

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers player went on to relay, “I don’t really regret those types of things — I think when I commit to it, I mean it, and I do my best and try to give everything I can to this particular opportunity.”
