When the 2021-2022 NFL season came to a close, the seven-time Super Bowl champion announced that he would be retiring so that he could focus on time with his family. However, this seemed to be a premature announcement.

“These past two months I have realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now,” the athlete wrote in the caption of an Instagram post

“I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. Without them, none of this is possible,” he continued. “I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. We have unfinished business.”

Following this announcement, Brady’s ex and “Blue Bloods” actress, Bridget Moynahan, was happy to hear the exciting news. Taking to social media, she screenshotted an article that relayed the information and offered her support to Brady.

Although the pair only dated for two years between 2004 and 2006, the two have remained amicable and friendly to ensure the best life for their son. The two continue to work together in order to parent 14-year-old John “Jack” Moynahan.

It is clear that Moynahan continues to support her ex despite their separation because she was also ready to encourage retirement when the Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s quarterback said he would be leaving the NFL.
