Travis Kelce is Excited to Host Saturday Night Live on March 4th!

Following his Super Bowl victory, Travis Kelce is looking forward to hosting the iconic television show Saturday Night Live!

During his recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the Kansas City Chiefs played announced his upcoming collaboration with the New York-based comedy show.

“I was a huge [Chris] Farley, [Will] Ferrell, [Jimmy] Fallon kind of guy growing up, and I used to watch Saturday Night Live with my mother, and it’s an absolute honor and a privilege to be hosting SNL March 4,” said Kelce, causing the audience to erupt into cheers of approval.

Although the Chiefs star has already been viewed by millions of Americans all over the country, he admitted that hosting SNL is an entirely different ballpark. “I am so nervous for that, oh my gosh,” he shared.

Ever since bringing home the Super Bowl championship title, Kelce has been flooded with questions, media attention, and more. Especially when considering he went head-to-head against his brother Jason, who plays for the Philadelphia Eagles.

During a post-game press conference, the Kansas City Chiefs player opened up about the real emotions surrounding defeating his brother in a very high-stakes situation. “There’s nothing you can really say to a loved one in a situation like that,” he explained. “You joke around all the time and say you want to beat your brother on the biggest stage, but it’s a weird feeling.”

Travis and Jason Kelce LOVED having their mother at the Super Bowl

Despite the fact that only one brother could have the Super Bowl championship title, both Kelce siblings had the amazing win of seeing their parents out on the field. To elaborate, Jason and Travis were over the moon to see their mother, Donna getting the media attention she deserves.

On their New Heights podcast earlier this week, the boys discussed what it meant to have their parents supporting them through the Super Bowl, especially Donna Kelce.

“The moment I saw mom is when I got really emotional because, man, it was so awesome,” Jason said, tearing up over the occasion. “It was awesome that she was on top of the world for a week.”

“She was the heavyweight champ, man,” Travis added, quick to agree with his brother. Also getting emotional, she expressed the sentiments, “She was on top of it, and she shined the whole time, man. That was the coolest part. Mom, you killed it. Dad, you’ve been killing it.”
