Vanessa Bryant Finds an Old Gift She Received From Kobe Bryant Buried in Her Closet, Shares It on Instagram
Since her husband and daughter’s passing in January, Vanessa Bryant has remained open about her grieve journey. From the memorials held in their honor to finding memories of Kobe and Gianna throughout their home, Vanessa has allowed her Instagram followers in through most of it.
And like she did on her birthday, Vanessa discovered a past present she once received from Kobe a “long time ago.” She admitted that finding the dress her husband gifted her many years ago, caused her to be taken aback with emotion. “He was SO romantic. Still showing me he loves me from Heaven.”
The gift was the dress Sarah Jessica Parker‘s character Carrie Bradshaw wore during the season finale of Sex In the City. “When Mr. Big comes and gets Carrie back. Paris. Missing my boo-boo and my sweet girl,” the mom of four captioned the photo. “So nice to have found this dress today. You set the bar so high baby. No love like REAL LOVE.”
As At The Buzzer previously reported, while celebrating her 36th birthday on May 5, five months after Kobe’s passing, Vanessa revealed she made a touching discovery. As she explained on Instagram, she found a letter written by her husband before he passed.
“Yesterday I found an envelope labeled ‘To: The Love of my Life. From, Tu Papi.’ I waited to open one more letter on my birthday. It gave me something to look forward to today.” As Vanessa continued, she added that “the irony is that Kobe had a photo of me drawn with an Angel holding me up by an artist on the cover.”

And Bradshaw’s dress isn’t the first piece of iconic costumery Kobe gifted Vanessa. As Vanessa revealed in her public eulogy, Kobe gifted her the blue dress Rachel McAdams’ character wore inThe Notebook.”
“When I asked him why he chose the blue dress, he said it was because it was the scene when Allie comes back to Noah. We had hoped to grow old together like the movie.”
