People around the world found different ways to honor and respect Kobe and Gigi Bryant’s legacy throughout 2020.

January 26 marks one year since that tragedy struck (according to history.com).

Vanessa Bryant has been posting cherished, good memories between her, her beloved late husband and daughter, and her family throughout this month to start the year.

To respect the Bryant’s during this time, here’s what she’s posted in January 2021, as she tells the story and honors Kobe and Gigi:

Here’s Vanessa’s post on January 1, 2021, seemingly wanting to enter the new year with “compartmentalization” and “organiz(ation)”:

Vanessa also recently gave birthday shoutouts to her daughter, Natalia:

Vanessa Bryant, in one of her January 2021 posts, posted what she said about how she’s been dealing with grief. She also wanted to encourage those “struggling with grief and heartbreaking loss”.

“Grief is a messed up cluster of emotions,” Bryant said in a Instagram post. “One day you’re in the moment laughing and the next day you don’t feel like being alive. I want to say this for people struggling with grief and heartbreaking loss. Find your reason to live. I know it’s hard. I look at my daughters and I try to push through that feeling for them. Death is guaranteed but living the rest of the day isn’t. Find your reason.”

Bryant’s beloved teammate, Shaquille O’Neal, also recently talked about how he’s dealing with the tragedy.

“With all that was going on and first my sister passed away, then Kobe passing away, and about 28 other people passing away, I just didn’t want to do anything,” O’Neal told People. “I realized I wasn’t feeling or looking my best. So I said, ‘You know what? Time to make a change.'”

People reported that Shaq “began exercising and changing his diet to help him slim down. Eventually, the 7-footer lost…40 pounds, going from 415-pounds down to 375 this year”.

From finding “your reason” to exercising, take it from two people who obviously were very close to Kobe as you may try to embark on your journey this year and in honoring Kobe and Gigi with that ‘mamba mentality’ on January 26.

It’s fitting to place this at the end of this article, another January 2021 Vanessa post, this one of her late husband talking about love:
