Watch This: To Retire Or Not To Retire, That’s The True Question It Seems When It Comes To Drew Brees

Drew Brees will go down as one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game. Brees holds the record for most passing yards in NFL history and is second in passing touchdowns and pass yards per game in NFL history.

The Super Bowl champion has made the Pro Bowl 13 times and won the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.

Now, the question is after 20 incredible years in the NFL: Will Drew Brees retire?

The speculation is out there in both camps. But, those falling under the Brees will continue playing in the NFL camp, have even more reasons and justifications to their points after this video was recently posted:

Todd Durkin, owner of Fitness Quest 10 in San Diego, posted the video of Brees training with fellow NFL quarterback Chase Daniel. The quarterbacks faced off in a little competition with pushing a sled.

Durkin: “I don’t care what the future holds, u gotta ALWAYS train to be the BEST!”

Brees has certainly been one of the best in the game and is still training like it. Could he continue his career in the NFL? We shall see. No matter what the decision is, it’ll be one Brees feels is best for him and his family. And that should be respected no matter what he decides.

Those who think Brees is retiring have these points to justify their reasoning:

ESPN’s Mike Triplett reported on February 5: “In the latest signal that Drew Brees is preparing to retire after 20 seasons, the New Orleans Saints quarterback has agreed to reduce his 2021 salary from $25 million to the veterans minimum of $1.075 million, a source confirmed to ESPN on Friday (February 5).”

Larry Brown Sports’ Steve DelVecchio embedded a Tweet from Ian Rapoport talking about Brees and whether or not he’ll retire.

“My understanding of the situation is he wants to do it when he is ready to deal with it and admit to it,” Rapoport said as transcribed by Larry Brown Sports. “He’s played football his entire life. He’s always been a football player. It’s hard for someone to come to grips with the fact that they are retiring. He just wants to make sure that when he announces it he is fully at peace with it. That’s what’s going on. He is not going to play quarterback for the Saints next year.”

But, this video just begs to differ:

“Screw Retirement!!! Run it back 🔥🔥🔥 #DB9 🐐” @hughesbt007 commented on Durkin’s post.
