Wrestler Becky Lynch is known as “The Man” but she recently teased fans with more news of her pregnancy. The WWE superstar, 33 shared images a tribute to her fiancé Seth Rollins for his 34th birthday in May and included an image that shocked many fans: an ultrasound.
The cute post to Instagram contained photos of Rollins cuddling with dogs, the couple embracing, the standard sort of birthday post on the platform. But, when fans got to the last slide of the slideshow, the were treated to an image of an unborn baby.
Becky Lynch snuck a surprise baby image in a Birthday tribute to her fiancé.
“This person right here is my favorite person in the world,” Lynch captioned the post. “I thought I was doing fairly well in life before, but then you came along and made me feel like the luckiest (and happiest) human in the world.”
“I love you and can’t wait to start this next crazy chapter with you,” she added. “Happy Birthday @wwerollins.”
Lynch announced her pregnancy earlier in May on an episode of Raw. The good news was met with mixed feelings as it also means that one of WWE’s most beloved personalities will be on maternity leave until after December when the baby is due.
“I’ve always, always wanted kids,” Lynch explained to People. “I’m just so career-focused that it became one of those things that, when you’re chasing a dream for so long, I always wondered, ‘Am I going to get around to it? Is it going to happen for me?'”
Lynch and Rollins went public with their relationship in May of 2019.
Dreams of a baby started to take shape after Lynch and Rollins began dating. They went public about their relationship in May of 2019, sharing a black-and-white image of themselves together, engaged in a kiss. That news was followed up with an engagement announcement three short months later in August.
“When we got together, things started to look a lot clearer and I knew he was the person that I wanted to have kids with — that this was going to happen and it was just a matter of when,” Lynch told People.
Finding out she was pregnant was a challenge and the wrestler had to take a number of pregnancy tests. The first test she took came back negative, but Lynch knew something wasn’t right. She purchased digital test that confirmed her suspicion.
“I took the first one wrong,” Lynch recalled. “Then I took a few more tests until I got a digital one that just said the word ‘Pregnant.’ I was with Seth at the time and he just threw his hands up in the air, all excited!”
Three short days after the big announcement, Rollins posted a picture of his fiancée with a positive pregnancy test on Instagram.
“I took this a few moments after we got the best news of our lives and I don’t think I could have captured anything more beautiful,” Rollins wrote. “I can’t put into words how much it means to me.”
“Thank you all so much for your support over the last couple of days. The outpouring of love really has lifted us even higher than we’ve already been,” the expecting dad added. “December can’t come soon enough!”
