Damon Choy – Founder, Audience Development, Monetization, and Business Operations:
Damon Choy started At The Buzzer, or ATB, in March 2020 as a freshman in high school. What started out as a fandom site for Duke basketball and the NBA has grown into a multi-sport reporting and lifestyle brand with over 750,000 monthly active users.
Damon currently runs audience development, site monetization, and business operations for the company while he partners with Editor in Chief and co-founder, Sara Vallone, for the overall vision of the company.
Sara Vallone – Co-Founder, and Editor in Chief:
Sara Vallone has been a sports enthusiast since she was very young. Growing up with a father who was a football coach, sports became an important part of Sara’s life very early on. After being involved in several sports up until she graduated high school, Sara pursued a degree in Broadcast Journalism with a focus on Sports Reporting.
From covering the Blackhawks Stanley Cup run in 2013 while an intern with CSN to interviewing Olympic legends like Simone Biles, Sara has learned over the years that sports are so much more than stats and numbers. Now, Sara has partnered with Damon Choy to create At The Buzzer, a website designed to focus on sports from every angle. From your favorite athletes’ personal lives to their success on the field, court, rink, pool, and more.
