Aldrick Rosas, the kicker for the New York Giants, was arrested on Tuesday for a hit-and-run charge as well as driving with a suspended license. Rosas got into a T-bone collision at an estimated 100 miles per hour with a Ford pickup truck. Spectators state that Rosas ran a red light prior to the accident.

Aldrick Rosas reportedly attempted to flee the scene until his vehicle stopped working, at which point he ran on foot. After the police were unable to find him at his home, he was discovered on the side of the road with his legs and hands covered in blood.

The Giants state that they “are aware of the situation,” but “have no further comment at this time.”

Rosas was an un-drafted free agent and signed with the Giants in 2017. While he finished the 2017 season with an abysmal 72% field goal conversion rate, the Giants kept Aldrick Rosas for the following season.

In 2018 he had a breakout year, being selected to the Pro Bowl after making 32 of 33 field goals throughout the season. The New York Giants resigned Rosas during the 2019 offseason, even after the worst season in his career, with only a 70.6% field goal conversion rate.

Rosas future with the Giants is uncertain at this point in time, but his future in the NFL is in jeopardy.
