Antron Pippen, Scottie Pippenβs firstborn son, is being remembered by his father and so many people as Scottie and his family goes through the grieving process of this tragedy.
βIβm heartbroken to share that yesterday, I said goodbye to my firstborn son Antron,β Scottie Pippen said in an Instagram post four days ago. βThe two of us shared a love for basketball and we had countless conversations about the game. Antron suffered from chronic asthma and if he hadnβt had it, I truly believe he wouldβve made it to the NBA. He never let that get him down, thoughβAntron stayed positive and worked hard, and I am so proud of the man that he became. Please keep his mom, Karen, and all of his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. A kind heart and beautiful soul gone way too soon. I love you, son, rest easy until we meet again. β

The Chicago Bulls βheld a moment of silence before (the) game vs. (the) Hornets in honor of Antron Pippenβ according to NBC Sports Chicagoβs Rob Schaefer.
Scottie appreciated the gesture from the Bulls and also wanted to thank everyone who has reached out to him.

Mr. Pippen, I have no words to help assuage your grief over losing your son. Please know how very sorry I am that your child is gone. No parent should have to endure that pain. I pray God gives you comfort and strength to see you through this trial.
Scottie, my heart is broken for you. Let that hole in your heart be filled with those special memories between a father and Son, and you will hold him forever. I lost my 24 year old son to cancer in 1995. Some of the special discussions that we had were of you and the Bulls.

My condolences I too have a daughter with chronic asthma. I struggle to get her inhalers, but a mother does whatever it takes even if it means getting into credit card debt. My prayers to you and all of the family who is suffering
