SportsCenter’s Dan O’Toole Reveals Someone Took His 1-Month-Old Baby, Before She Was Later Reported Safe

On July 2, popular sportscaster Dan O’Toole revealed that someone took his 1-month-old baby Oakland. According to E! News, alongside a photo of his baby girl, the father understandably revealed how heartbroken he was.

“My baby Oakland. I’m praying that whoever has you, is holding you,” O’Toole began. “That whoever has taken you from me, is protecting you. That whoever has you, lets you come back into my arms.”

“I love you Oakland. I can’t wait to one day hold you again. My heart is broken. I am broken,” the father concluded.

In an update, O’Toole wrote that they still believe “Oakland is alive, we think. But we don’t know. I have a one-month-old child, and I don’t know where she is.” The terrified father also reassured his followers that his “amazing” ex-wife Corrie O’Toole had “NOTHING to do with this” before asking people to “leave her alone.”

Now, thankfully, it seems as though Oakland has been located.

Although O’Toole’s original post has since been deleted, it’s believed Oakland is safe and well. In a new Instagram post, the father of three wrote, “UPDATE: My baby Oakland has been confirmed to be safe.”

However, at the time of his update, he wrote that “I have still not seen her or held her,” and then went on to address the people who may shame him for this time in his life.

“To those that decided to bash me during this ordeal, tell me this: have you ever looked in the eyes of your kids, and not been able to tell them where their sister is or when they will see her again? We are still broken. We may never be fixed again.”

Specifics of this particular case have not been revealed. According to Travis Dhanraj, Oakland was with her mother, but it’s unclear why O’Toole didn’t know that.

O’Toole later responded to Dhanraj’s tweet, saying, “Hey Travis. First off, this is not a Durham police matter. Secondly, should the police maybe call me first once my child has been found?”

The sportscaster announced the birth of his third daughter on May 26. “When you self isolate long enough, you get one of these as a door prize,” the proud father wrote. “Meet Oakland Eleanor Sandra Newman-O’Toole. My brand new lil girl who has a million names, and all of my heart. In case it was ever in doubt, now officially NEVER forgetting 2020.
