PGA Tour golfer Ian Poulter has three PGA Tour wins, 12 international wins, two additional wins, and 50 top ten finishes.

Poulter will hope to finish strong this weekend at the PGA Tour Wells Fargo Championship tournament in Charlotte with his son by his side, cheering him on. Not from the gallery but literally by his side as his caddie.

USA Today Sports Golfweek’s Adam Schupak reports “Poulter announced on his Instagram that Luke, who is 16 and home-schooled, will be on his bag at the Wells Fargo Championship this week. Poulter’s (caddie) James Walton, is turning 40 this week and his wife is planning a celebration.”

Ian and Luke will be hoping to celebrate a nice finish at this tournament. Beyond just the golf, it’ll be special moments of father-son bonding with Luke getting a chance to soak up what it’s like to caddie and see his dad play at the PGA Tour from a different vantage point.

“In 2 weeks’ time @lukepoults24 will be caddying for me at @wellsfargogolf in Charlotte NC,” Poulter said in an Instagram post on April 22. “This wonderful game has given us so many wonderful memories and this will be right up there. Let’s go Luke. #Dreams#Golf#Caddy#pgatour”.

I’m sure as much as it’ll be all business on the course as Poulter competes, it’ll be just as, if not more, about the memories Ian and Luke will share as they share the course together. As father and son.

So many people are here for this. “Good luck boys!!” Tyler Nathan Toney commented on Poulter’s post.

“Awesome!” Michael Pena commented. “Wow, how awesome is that dad/son/bond/ Hey luke when your dad cans the winning putt make sure you get your 10%!” Lee Dixon commented.

“Dream Team,” Nick Dougherty commented. “This is brilliant,” Stephen Warnock commented. “Enjoy the time together.”
