‘He’ll be back in ‘21-‘22 Watch Out!’ After Klay Thompson Suffers Season-Ending Achilles Tendon Injury, Gets Massive Support And Prayers From NBA Community And Fans

On an evening where NBA draftees sat with their family members in anticipation of what could be one of the best days of their life getting drafted, some shocking, sad news broke about one of the NBA’s best players just before the draft. Warriors guard Klay Thompson, suffered a serious injury and is expected to miss the 2020-21 season according to the Warriors.

Thompson suffered the injury in a workout on November 18 in Southern California and has a torn right achilles tendon per the Warriors.

One of the ‘splash bros’ with fellow backcourt guard Steph Curry, Thompson is a five-time All-Star, three-time NBA champion, two-time All-NBA player, and a career 41.9% 3-point shooter.

Oh, and by the way, scored 37 points. In one quarter! That’s right, he set an NBA record for points in a quarter shooting and making all nine of his three’s and going 13-13 total from the field per Warriors PR.

And Klay was poised for another great season. Just two weeks ago, Thompson posted a workout on Instagram saying: “Twenty six days til basketball try outs, I gotta toughen up.”

It’s heartbreaking news.

But, Klay’s father, Mychal Thompson, is keeping it all in perspective with a hopeful outlook, looking forward to the 2021-22 season. Thompson tweeted out an appreciation for everyone who’s been praying for Klay during this time:

“Thank (you) (everybody) out there in TTT(Thompson Twitter Territory)for all (your) thoughts well wishes and prayers for Klay. We appreciate…yall so much. He’ll be back in ‘21-‘22 WATCH OUT! All of us (have) gone thru trials in this life.(Some) bigger than others. This is just another one”.

Here’s just a few of the many tweets and support for Klay during this difficult time:

Prayers up, Klay. We all wish you and your family the utmost best during this trying time on your road to recovery.
