Mike Trout and Jessica Trout Welcome First Son Together Just Six Days Before His Late Uncle’s Birthday

As his late brother-in-law and best friend’s birthday looms around the corner, Angels outfielder Mike Trout and his wife Jessica Trout are celebrating the birth of their first child, a son.

As At-The-Buzzer previously reported, in the months leading up to their son’s birth, Mike and Jessica teamed up with Tiny Turnip to support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) in honor of their brother Aaron Cox. In 2018, Cox, who was born on August 5, took his own life.

The Trouts designed an apparel line with Tiny Turnip which featured a glove and a baseball in the shape of a semi colon. “A semicolon is used when an author could’ve chosen to end their sentence, but chose not to. The author is you and the sentence is your life,” the late founder of Project Semicolon, an organization dedicated to the prevention of suicide, Amy Bleuel explained.

The soon-to-be first time parents were also excited to be welcoming their first born around the same time Cox would have celebrated one of his birthdays. “Being able to celebrate the birth of our child around his birthday, it definitely means a lot to all of us. We are extremely excited.”

Then on July 30, six days before Cox’s 26th birthday, Mike and Jessica’s baby boy made his way into the world.

As the couple shared on Instagram, the named their son after his uncle, Beckham Aaron. He was born at 5:10 p.m. weighing 7-pounds, 10 ounces and he measured 20.75 inches long. “Meet our sweet boy…Our greatest gift from above,” the Trouts wrote. “We are so in love.”
