Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes and His Longtime Girlfriend, Brittany Matthews, Are Engaged
What a year it has been for Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. In 2020, Mahomes led the Chiefs to a Super Bowl win, he signed a record-breaking 10-year, 503 million-dollar contract with the Chiefs, and now he and his longtime girlfriend are getting married.

Mahomes and certified health coach, Brittany Matthews, are high school sweethearts. And after years of sticking by each other through both high school and college graduations and now what should be a Hall-of-Fame caliber career, the young duo is ready for forever together.
On September 1, the Chiefs held a socially distant ring ceremony in which the members of the 2019-2020 Chiefs were given their diamond incrusted Super Bowl rings. But as the world would later find out, Mahomes wasn’t the only one who was given a massive ring that night.
As it turns out, Mahomes had a surprise proposal planned for Matthews. And when she said yes, Mahomes put this massive rock on her finger.
“Ring SZN,” Mahomes captioned the photo showing off Matthews’ stunning engagement ring.
Matthews also celebrated her 25th birthday on September 1 as well. Talk about a gift. On her own Instagram stories, Matthews wrote, “My heart is so full! I love this man so incredibly much and today was so so special! Couldn’t imagine this day being any more perfect!”
She also shared a few photos of how Mahomes popped the question and he really gave it his all. From 100 white and red roses along with a light up sign that read “Will you marry me?”
To a candle lit dinner in their own backyard, the whole event proved to be quite stunning.
The couple has not yet made any further comments regarding their engagement. Mahomes is set to take the field in what will be a very different football season in just two weeks. Congratulations!
