It’s official, Patrick Mahomes is now a #girldad.

Among him being a Super Bowl MVP, helping his team get to another Super Bowl in consecutive years, he’s now experienced a day that beats all of that (besides, of course, his engagement, upcoming marriage, and significant other milestones and memories in his life). Patrick and his fiancé, Brittany Matthews, have excitedly announced to the world their precious newborn baby:

In my inner-announcer voice, here’s a congratulatory announcement from At The Buzzer To Patrick and Brittany: Weighing in at 6-pounds and 11-ounces, in the Chiefs corner, the newest MVP to the Mahomes family, ladies and gentlemen, it’s Sterling Skye Mahomes!

“When I thought I knew love,” Matthews said in an Instagram post. “Then I saw your face for the first time. ✨ #SterlingSkye“.

The couple is already enamored with their newborn as new parents, their iPhone backgrounds: pictures of their newborn daughter, Sterling (and apparently, this is the first time they’ve used photos as backgrounds instead of the generic images already on the phones).

“I have never had a photo as my background on my phone for years, I just leave it with what the iPhone comes with….I have a daughter & instantly she becomes my background on everything…,” Matthews said in a Tweet.
