Jason and Travis Kelce, who both made it to the 2023 Super Bowl, teared up during the latest episode of their New Heights podcast on Wednesday over their parents.

Since both siblings represent different teams, there was obviously a strong sibling rivalry evident between the two. However, more than anything, both brothers were happy to celebrate each other’s hard work leading up to the Super Bowl. While Travis, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, ultimately took home the championship, both brothers bonded over how special it was to see their mother getting so much attention leading up to the big game.

“The moment I saw mom is when I got really emotional because, man, it was so awesome,” Jason Kelce said, tearing up while discussing the gate incident. “It was awesome that she was on top of the world for a week.”

Agreeing wholeheartedly, Travis added his own thoughts on their mother, Donna Kelce. “She was the heavyweight champ, man,” he shared. “She was on top of it, and she shined the whole time, man. That was the coolest part. Mom, you killed it. Dad, you’ve been killing it.”

Jason noted that he was still happy to see his parents enjoying the experience regardless of if he lost the game. For him, the biggest win of all was seeing his parents happy.

“It was just so cool, man, to see her get to celebrate in that with us. It was an awesome moment. Just so happy for her and so happy that she got her moment. Dad got his,” Jason shared. “Ironically, you lose the Super Bowl, and you’re crying after the game, and they’re not tears of sadness. They’re tears of joy.”

Following this NFL season, many are wondering what’s next for Jason Kelce. More specifically, they are wondering if retirement is in his future. In addition to discussing his parents, the Philadelphia Eagles player opened up about his possible retirement.

“I don’t know the answer to that right now. So I can’t answer it,” he admitted. “I do know it was a lot of fun this year. I had an amazing team and time doing this show with my brother, so we’ll see. I’m gonna let the batteries recharge. I’m exhausted, man.”

He concluded the retirement conversation with the sentiments, “It’s a long season, mentally, physically, emotionally drained, and I’m gonna let all that kinda recover before we decide on that.”
