For the first time since 2007, The Tampa Bay Bucs have officially clinched the playoffs.

The Bucs were able to clinch it, per the Bucs, after a huge win against the Detroit Lions in Motown, winning 47-7.

“I’m feeling great, I’m feeling blessed, we came out here and got a statement win,” Bucs captain and linebacker, Lavonte David, excitedly said on the field after the win. “Ten wins…man, it’s a blessing. Next up, playoffs…we comin’!”

Tampa was ready to welcome their team home with open arms (and masks):

For all you X’s and O’s fans out there, here’s a breakdown of each Brady touchdown pass in the game:

According to CBS Sports, “Brady completed 22 of 29 passes for 348 yards and four touchdowns in the first half of the blowout, making it only the second time since 1991 a player had 340 passing yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in a half”. Per CBS Sports there was only one player in NFL history to accomplish this before and that dude’s name is Tom Brady.

Records are great and all, but Brady and the Bucs are focused on something more.

Tampa Bay head coach Bruce Arians said after the Lions’ game, “It’s just the beginning” per the Bucs.

We all know what Tom Brady can do under center in the playoffs (ahem, Patriots Super Bowls and six Super Bowl rings).

The Bucs won a Super Bowl in 2002. Could they win their second ever Super Bowl in 2021 with Brady at the helm? That remains to be seen. In the meantime, Brady and the Bucs are just trying to win one more game in the regular season.

“I’m certainly just happy we won the game, we’re 10-5 and I know that gets us a spot but I think there’s still (a) big week ahead of us for preparation and improving as a team,” Brady said. “We’re playing better, playing more consistently and it’s been great to see. I know there’s a lot of guys who have worked hard to get to this point. Ten wins gets you something this year in the NFL, gets you a spot in the playoffs. There’s going to be a bunch of teams that make it this year and there’s only going to be one team that ends up happy. So the more time we can spend improving as a team, improving as a quarterback I need to do then the better it is for us.”
