Since the beginning of their relationship, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and notable actress Shailene Woodley have chosen to keep their relationship relatively private. However, an anonymous source has given the details that everyone has been waiting for.
“They are not talking about their politics, and they never really have,” the source said, according to PEOPLE. Elaborating, the anonymous source explained, “They disagreed on a lot of things. Early on, they decided to agree to disagree about things and not debate them.”
The source added the information, “She [Shailene] is not someone whose mind you can change, so Aaron hasn’t even tried.”
Although specific topics weren’t discussed, disagreements may arise given Rodgers’ adamant critique on COVID-19 policies. However, she has publically defended him following his vaccination controversy. When rumors spread that he was roaming the streets of Los Angeles after his COVID diagnosis, she made sure to denounce any criticisms.
“Literally ya’ll need to calm the f— down. This is straight-up HILARIOUS. News outlets STILL grasping at straws to disparage Aaron. Finding random f—ing men on the streets of LA and saying it’s him,” she wrote on her Instagram story.

The couple has been together since the beginning of the pandemic and has recently announced their engagement to one another. When Rodgers earned the league’s MVP during the NFL Honors broadcast in February 2021, he announced that the actress was not just his girlfriend, but his fiancee.
In addition, Woodley confirmed their engagement when she made a guest appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s late-night show. “Yes, we are engaged. But for us, it’s not new news, you know, so it’s kind of funny,” she shared. “Everyone right now is freaking out over it and we’re like, ‘Yeah, we’ve been engaged for a while.’ “

She also discussed with The Hollywood Reporter why they made the decision to without publicizing their engagement. The Divergent actress relayed, “When we announced that we were engaged, we wanted to do that only because we didn’t want someone else to do it before we did.”
“And we didn’t do it for months and months after we had become engaged,” she continued.
The 30-year-old also explained that she and Rodgers enjoy keeping their relationship private because it allows them to “live in a bubble”.
She added, “The reaction to it was really a lot, and so we were like, ‘Let’s just politely decline [to talk about the relationship] for a little while and live in our little bubble.’ “
