When members of the Notre Dame Prep freshman basketball team in Pontiac, Michigan accidentally added a random number to their group chat, Tom Brady‘s FaceTime call was something they never anticipated.

On the day before Thanksgiving, freshman basketball player Vinny Tartaglia was in the process of adding his fellow athletes to a group chat when he mistakenly mistyped a number. The number that he added happened to belong to Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback, Sean Murphy-Bunting.

“Ya’ll meant to add me to this?” the 24-year-old NFL player questioned. The players questioned if it was their teammate, to which Murphy-Bunting sent the following selfie that proved he was not a freshman basketball player. When the basketball team refused to believe that there was actually a professional football player in their group chat, Murphy-Bunting decided to FaceTime the group.

In awe, they began speaking with the cornerback who ended up introducing them to running back Leonard Fournette. Fournette then went on to give them a tour of the Buccaneer’s locker room. The phone was then passed off to Rob Gronkowski, wide receiver Mike Evans, and even cornerback Richard Sherman. However, they stayed on the line for an extra 10 minutes so they could speak with the legendary quarterback, Tom Brady.

“What’s up fellas?!?!” Brady said after returning from a meeting. Upon seeing the 44-year-old on their screen, the boys instantly lost their minds.

One of the fathers of the high schoolers took to social media to explain the incredible occurrence. Jason Whalen shared, “What an amazing experience for our boys and what an amazing group of guys on the Buccaneers.”

Even Fournette recognized that having the chance to meet Brady must have been impactful. “They were shocked,” the running back recalled. “I think that’s … to guys in high school, Tom is the figure for them. You know what I mean? Who wouldn’t want to look up to a guy like that?”

When Brady was asked about the incident, he referred to it as “sweet” and relayed that it was a pleasant experience. “It was nice. It would have been nice for me when I had been in high school too… It was really good to see all those young kids hyped up,” Brady commented.
