Scottie Scheffler Has Made 24 Consecutive Cuts This Season -- Here's a Look Back at Each One!

Scottie Scheffler Has Made 24 Consecutive Cuts This Season — Here’s a Look Back at Each One!

Anyone who has watched the PGA Tour these past two years will agree Scottie Scheffler is the most consistent golfer in the world right now – but how did he get here? The 27-year-old made his PGA Tour debut as an amateur on May 15, 2014 at the HP Byron Nelson Championship, where he finished tied-22.

Between 2014 and 2018, he played collegiate golf at the University of Texas and continued to make a name for himself. He not only helped his school win three Big 12 championships, but made his major debut at the 2016 U.S. Open and made his first major cut at the 2017 U.S. Open – he finished tied-27.

Scheffler turned professional in 2018, was named Korn Ferry Tour Player of the Year in 2019, earned a fully exempt PGA Tour card for the 2020 season, was named PGA Tour Rookie of the Year in 2019-20, and went on to make 24/29 cuts in 2020-21. Still, he had yet to earn his first win on the PGA Tour.

Something happened during the 2021-22 season that saw Scottie Scheffler go from being ranked No. 23 in the world at the start of the season (October 2021) to being ranked No. 1 in the world by March 28, 2022. So, what’s next for Scottie Scheffler? First off, let’s see just how long he can keep this streak going – to be honest, it might be a while until he misses another cut. While he clearly has plenty more wins in his future, I’m excited to see him compete for another major – he has his ‘Green Jacket,’ but that’s it so far.

Either way, this dude is going to be a joy to watch for at least another 10 years – and likely longer – so, don’t blink because you might miss something!
