World Series Champion Mookie Betts Engaged To Long-Time Girlfriend!: ‘Putting A Ring On My MVP Is The Real Blessing’
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder and 2020 World Series champion Mookie Betts has accolade after accolade in the MLB. The two-time World Series champ has four All Star appearances, four Silver Slugger awards, five Gold Glove awards, a batting title to boot, and, of course, that 2018 AL MVP honor.

Amidst all those awards in baseball, it’s nothing compared to what just happened in his life.
“Winning another World Series was great, but putting a ring on MY MVP is the REAL BLESSING!” Betts said in a recent Instagram post. “I am a blessed man.”
Mookie Betts is officially engaged to his longtime girlfriend!
“(Brianna) has been by my side since we were teenagers,” Betts said. “Together we’ve grown mentally, physically, and spiritually. She is my best friend, mother of my child, my lover and my soon to be wife.”
According to People, Betts is “engaged to marry his girlfriend of 15 years, Brianna Hammonds“:
It was a whole set up as Betts stepped up to the plate (yes, all pun intended) and made this engagement special for his now fiancé, making a whole event of it before he got down on one knee and popped the question.
According to People, “(Betts) told his bride-to-be that…they’d be celebrating (Betts’ LegaCCy Award) honor with a special dinner with the Sabathias in Nashville…Betts staged an intimate awards ceremony…he read a sweet poem he wrote for his future wife and popped the question, revealing the night’s true nature: an engagement dinner.”

It appears that Betts really has his priorities in order, as he recognized his family, his now fiancé and daughter as his motivation.
“Thank you so much to my 2 ladies!,” Betts said in an Instagram post the day after his team won the World Series. “(W)asn’t sure how being in a hotel room for a month would even be possible. Not only did you make it possible, you both made it enjoyable. I love you two sooo much,and I thank you for holding down the fort for me!! #MyMotivation”
