Alex Morgan And Her Family ‘Contracted COVID’: ‘We Are All In Good Spirits And Recovering Well’
In what was a tumultuous 2020 for so many, for Alex Morgan and her family, 2020 couldn’t escape without them facing some adversity.
“Unfortunately, my family and I closed out 2020 learning that we had contracted Covid while in California over the holidays,” Morgan said in a Tweet. “We are all in good spirits and recovering well. After our isolation is completed, I will follow US Soccer’s return to play guidelines to ensure…my body is fully recovered and I can join my teammates back on the field soon. Be safe and happy new year.”
Morgan, who played with the Tottenham Hotspur club across the pond in 2020, was planning on playing with US Women’s National Team in 2021.
That now will have to wait just a bit as she follows “US Soccer’s return to play guidelines” and her team will be ready for her as their January camp has kicked off.
Morgan also played in a friendly game as the USWNT played The Netherlands in November.
We are glad to hear the family is in good spirits and wish them all the best during their recovery.
